About Me

Hi! I’m Michele. I am a visionary who loves to express joy and resilience through blogging, poetry, and art. I’d love for you to look into my website to receive inspiration.

In a hectic world, I hope this website can serve as an oasis of peace and calm.

Spiritual work changed my mind. Studying A Course in Miracles, the Bible, various indigenous cultural spiritualities transformed my mind. My eyes were opened to see America’s competitive mentality.

An equal world is a worthwhile endeavor. It takes a mind change, then behavior follows. A few people believe they have power over others. However, there is more power in numbers. With the correct education for the masses, this world would be equal.

I learned that my way of being is all I have to influence others. To keep me in a good way, daily, I do 12 step work. It is my choice to inspire peace. Jesus Christ, Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, Marianne Williamson, Louise Hay, and Wayne Dyer are some of my inspirations.

How I Create Art

The Process:

I started drawing on my own from an early age. My father encouraged me to draw because his mother, Edith, painted. My father gifted her first name as my middle name. Edith means “prosperous in times of war.” Fear of criticism from outside of myself became an impasse to expressing my personal art style. My war became fear of criticism in creation.

As a child, I created art without a thought and was happy with what I made. Then I entered the adult world and societal schooling and I was taught what kind of art is acceptable, or good, and what is wrong. In my experience, I understand that art is subjective.

I found the Point Zero technique by Michele Cassou. Suddenly I had freedom to express myself without my inner critic stopping me. I’ve learned returning to Point Zero is a Zen moment in painting (or drawing) with beginner’s mind. I find my inner child painting in the place of pure presence. This process reminds me of how different we naturally are from each other as people, and I celebrate that!
